The National Tourist Interest Celebration is held every Sunday after Easter. The colorful marine parade graces the coastline of the town and numerous boats join in the feast. This has been an old and enjoyable tradition for the people of San Vicente Barquera.
The National Contest of Marine Song is yet another display of the locale’s inherent talent and artistic prowess. The competition is held every first week of July. Aside from the good people of San Vicente de Barquera, participants from all over the world also join the event to display their own brand of rhythm and beat.
The Feast of Saint Carmen is commemorated every July 16 in the port of the town. Displays of fantastic dance presentations highlight the event. Lovely dancers flow with beautiful and colorful costumes, with their liquid-like bodies moving to the upbeat and lively music.
All year long, small festivals in most of the town’s villas are also celebrated. The months of June, July and August are loaded with programs and small carnivals for the event.
