During summer, Suances comes to life with colorful and jovial fiestas. The most celebrated festival of the town is the feast of Our Lady of del Carmen which is held between 15th and 18th of July. What highlights this traditional celebration is the grand procession at the sea. Residents of the town decorate their boats and fashioned them to be like jewels sailing the estuary of San Martin. The mariner’s patron saint is proudly and reverentially displayed during the unique procession.
